Experience roman elegance
Roman blinds, as the name suggests, were invented over 2,000 years ago and were popular at the height of the Roman Empire. They consist of horizontal slats which overlap when retracted but hang straight when extended. Roman blinds are most suitable for bedrooms, lounges and living rooms although synthetic, moisture-resistant fabrics are available for use in bathrooms, kitchens and other moist areas.
There are literally thousands of patterns and colours of roman blind available, all in a wide range of fabrics. Their economical cost makes them an ideal budget alternative to curtains. They can even be lined to become blackout blinds.
Roman blinds come with slats of various widths. Modern styles tend to have narrower slats and make your window space look larger. More traditional styles are designed with larger slats and lend a cozy feel to the room. All styles can be either manually operated or motorised (you can even connect them via WiFi to your smart assistant for voice-controlled operation).
